Separation of Subtances - Lesson 2

Lesson 2
2.1 Essential Question:
1. How would you obtain clear water from a sample of muddy water?
2. How will you separate husk or dirt particles from a given sample of pulses before cooking?

3. Is it possible to separate sugar mixed with wheat flour? If yes, how will you do it?
4. Is filtration alone enough to clean dirty  water ?
5. Why does visibility increase after rains?
6. How does a piece of cloth help in the filtration of muddy water?
 2.2 Grouping Strategy:
The class having 50 students . Divide the class in to 5 groups. Each group having 10students depends  upon their  ability, .skill and approach to the project It emphasis team work, the bright children will get a chance for peer instruction and the weak students also  benefit from the more  advanced group from this.

2.3 Learning Environment:
Each group has allotted a separate working place from the effective interaction among the team members .Computer labs   will be used for the majority of the on. line work
2.4Assessment Approach:
                2.41 Authentic Assessment:
