Influence of advertisement in our life - Lesson 3

Lesson 3- Plan Phase
3.1 Work Breakdown, Products and Milestones:
           
v  Classroom instruction:  Basics information on 1. Advertisement. 2. Branding. 3.Merits of advertisement. 4. Demerits of advertisement.5. Consumer Rights.
v  Selected student groups.
v  Giving task to student groups.
v  Research: online and library (research report).
v  Class activity: Role play of influence of advertisement(activity report)
v  Activity: Tag line writing competition.
v  Survey: Primary data collection on usage of brands(survey report)
v  Survey: People’s opinion on influence of advertisement. (Statistical analysis)
v  Presentation: Types of advertisement.


3.2 Role definitions:
            
v  Project leader: Teacher will fulfill this role
v  Researcher : All students will be the part of online research and library research.
v  Survey writer (all students will contribute to this)
v  Presentation author
v  Presenter (all students will take some part in the presentation)

3.3 Task schedule:
           
Project start date 1st  November 2016.
Project end date 30th November 2016.
Activity “Collection of data on Brand items purchased in one week”.

3.5Resources Plan:

Computer lab: Date and period in the Time Table.

3.6 Direct Instruction:

v  Instruction on consumer on rights.
v  Types of advertisement.
v  Creating a survey.

3.7 Reviews and checkpoints:
              
v  At the end of every week there will be a 20 minutes class conference to discuss progress, successes and challenges.
v  A checkpoint meeting for each team will be held for 10 minutes twice per week.

3.8 Assessment plan:
            
v  Opportunities for authentic assessment will include: The surveys and results, Presenting data sheet.
v  Formative assessment will primarily focus on the artifacts created by the students during the project. Special attention will be paid to survey prototypes, learning journals and presentation outlines.
v  Summative assessments will be performed on the survey results, presentations .
