Plan Phase
3.1 Work Breakdown, Products and Milestones:
          
Classroom instruction: importance of waste management for sustainable development, the need to reuse plastic instead of recycling it, importance of protecting environment.
Selection of student groups
Online and library research, interaction with society to gather information
Class activity: Collection of plastic bottles and plants,shaping of plastic bottles.
Survey: Based on usage of plastic bottles and  disposal of waste bottles
Activity: Applying creativity in the reuse of plastic bottles, preparing potting mixture for plants, setting up of hanging vertical garden
Presentation: The importance of waste management
Celebration: an exhibition of different ways to reuse plastic



3.2 Role definition:

3.3 Task schedule:
          
Project will start on 7/11/16 and will end on 7/12/2016.

3.4Special Activities Plan:
                
Talk on hazards   of plastic waste & means to reduce it to be conducted
           
3.5Resource Plan:

Computer lab, library

3.6 Direct Instruction:

Basics of need to protect the resources for future use

3.7 Reviews and checkpoints:
                
At the end of every day an interaction with the team leaders will be done. At the end of every week meeting will be conducted to analyze the progress, constraints and challenges.

3.8 Assessment plan:
            
Authentic assessment will include assessment of tasks assigned such as documentation & briefing
Formative assessment will be focused on the artifacts created by the students giving special attention to the prototypes, journals used and presentation outlines.
Summative assessment will be based on the survey results, presentations on the importance of waste management.
Rubrics prepared: survey questions & results, data interpretation & analysis.
